Guy C. Keller- went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 30, 2014. A longtime member of Fulton Heights/New Life United Methodist Church, he served faithfully for over 60 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, equally loved by all who knew him. Mr. Keller was preceded in death by his daughter, Katie; parents, Josiah and Mildred; and brother-in-law, Douglas "Buddy" McIntosh. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances; son, Curtis Keller (Jackie); daughter, Patricia Keller; sister, Betty Burroughs (Ken); sister-in-law, Dot Havron (Dick); brothers-in-law, Shelby McIntosh (Sherryl) and Terry McIntosh (Anna); grandchildren, Erin Cabrales (Jose), Kathleen Armour (Dylan), and Rachel and Brian Moragne; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends. The family wishes to express their deepest, heartfelt thanks to the staff of Providence Hospital. Your expert care and unfailing compassion will always be remembered. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Dignity's Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, February 3, 2014, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 2, from 5-7 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Juanita S. Denniston, a longtime resident of Mobile, died unexpectedly on Tuesday. She is survived by her husband, Robert P. Denniston; her son, Michael S. (Christine) Denniston; two grandsons, Robert H. Denniston and William C. Denniston; one brother, Jack G. (Cheryl) Sandlin and other relatives. Visitation will be a Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 11AM to 12 noon. Martha Jane Shoulders - born August 23, 1934, in Saint Claire County, AL and a longtime resident of Mobile passed away in Mobile on Monday January 27, 2014. Martha was a member of the Murphy High School Class of 1952 and attended Jacksonville State Teachers College. She was a teacher at St. Monica Catholic School and worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for several years, all while raising four sons. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the same bridge club for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Murphy High school reunion team organizing many class reunions. She was a very active member of Little Flower Catholic Church where she taught Sunday school and served on the alter guild for many years. Her greatest joy though was enjoying time with her four sons and eight grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Jack M. Shoulders; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd B. Mayes. She is survived by her two sisters; Annie Caroline Wright and Nelda Fay Vance (Paul); brother, Floyd B. Mayes Jr. (Jo Ann); sons, Jon T. Shoulders (Corinne), Jimmy D. Shoulders (Tracy), Jerry W. Shoulders, and Joe W. Shoulders (Lori); grandchildren, Leigh, Taylor, Mary Mikell, Alex, Jamie, Jack, Bentley, and Dawson Shoulders; other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Crowne Health Care, for all of their loving care and support. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Little Flowers Catholic Church on Friday, January 31, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Reverend John G. Lynes serving as Celebrant of the Mass. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the mass. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. She was a member of Bayou Sara Baptist Church, and worked for Fonde Elementary School. Her greatest love was her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Franklin Reed. Mrs. Lane is survived by her husband, Greg Lane; son, Scott (Charity) Lane; mother, Barbara Reed; brothers, Bennie (Melissa) Reed, Kenny Reed; sister, Glenda Reed; nieces, nephews and many other family friends. Ramona was very generous to St. Jude's Children Hospital and to the SPCA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Welch. She is survived by her son, Daniel (Ginger) Gunn; mother, Robin Colvin; siblings, Becky Ray, Jeff (Margaret) Neal, Richard Colvin, Eddie (Pat) Neal and Mary Canfield. Carl Dewitt "Spud" Daughdrill, 89 years of age, passed away peacefully to his Heavenly home on Saturday, January 25, 2014. He was born on April 20, 1924 in Leaf, Greene County, MS. Carl was a lifelong resident of Mobile, AL. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Tillman's Corner. Carl was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps and retired from Ingall's in 1986. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jewel Miller (Frederick) of Wilmer, AL, Evie Turner (Ira), of Leakesville, MS, and Erin Sorey (Lex) of Baton Rouge, LA; and brother, DeVan Daughdrill (Anne) of Lucedale, MS. Carl Daughdrill is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jewel Welford Daughdrill; son, Stephen Daughdrill (Connie) of Mobile; daughter, Deborah Gardner (Robert) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Brad Daughdrill (Becca), of Tuscaloosa, AL, Brent Daughdrill (Kim) of Mobile, Allen Gardner of Auburn, AL, and Carla Gardner of Houston, TX; sister, Mary Ball of Sumrall, MS; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, "Millie."
