Sept. 5, 1997-May 26, 2015 Alexis Marie Martin, 17, of Theodore, Al. was born to William and Denise Martin passed away on Tuesday. Alexis was a 2015 Theodore High School graduate, a member of the National Art Honor Society, a member of the Theodore High School Marching Band - Color Guard team, accepted to the University of South Alabama planning to major in Graphic Design. She is survived by her parents; Grandmother, Barbara Martin; Great Grandmother, Doris Buckley; four aunts, Karie Martin, Becky Martin, Janeen Martin and Tiffany Herzberg; one uncle Daryl Martin; and a host of family members and friends. She is proceeded in death by her Grandmother, Rose "Nina" Burdell.

April 12, 1933 - May 28, 2015 Alva Lowe, a native of Mobile, AL, passed away on May 28, 2015. She was born on April 12, 1933. She is preceded in death by her father, Lindsay J. Sullivan, her mother, Sallie Sullivan, and her brother, Lamar Sullivan. She is survived by her beloved and dedicated husband of 63 years, Bobby Lowe; four children, Bobby W. (Rosemary) Lowe, Sue (Tony) Dunn, Brenda (Robert) Sharp, and Kenny (Maulette) Lowe; her devoted friend and sister-in-law, Vicky Lowe Knowles; eight grandchildren: Kevin (Melanie) Lowe, Ashley (Tim) Simmons, Kristy (Rick) Jumper, Jeremy (Brandy) Dunn, Lindsey (Brentley) Taylor, Lauren Sharp, Heather Lowe Hicks, and Nick (Shea) Lowe; nine great-grandchildren: Parker Lowe, Anna Claire Lowe, Kennedy Simmons, Cole Simmons, Nathan Jumper, Kadence Dunn, Piper Dunn, Matthew Hicks, and Mary Ella Hicks. She is also survived by brothers, David (Helen) Sullivan, William E. "Bill" (Jane) Sullivan, L.J. (Joann) Sullivan, and many loved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lowe dedicated herself to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a celebrated cook by anyone who sat at her table and was known for her hospitality by anyone who walked through her door. She found happiness in serving other people and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

May 28, 2015 The spirit of Aubrey Ray Yeager passed into eternity on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Crowne Health Care of Mobile. He was 88 years old. A graduate of Murphy High School, he served in the US Navy during World War II. An avid reader, golfer and animal lover, he often brought home injured animals – from kittens to possums to baby ducks to be cared for. Those who knew him remember his kindness towards others; always willing to help anyone unconditionally. He was a member of Cottage Hill Baptist Church and was an usher there. His passing was preceded by that of his parents, John LaFayette Yeager and Lottie Alfie Marshall Yeager of Mobile; grandson, Michael David Yeager of Mobile; brothers, J.L. Yeager Jr. and Milton Price Yeager of Mobile; son in law, John Michael Gulsby of Montgomery; sister in law, Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Yeager of Mobile and close friend, Troy Brooks (Marjorie) of Ashburn, GA. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ellyn; a brother, Thomas Gerald Yeager (Tressie); sister in law, Virginia Yeager; sons, Gerald David Yeager (Beverly) of Madison, Indiana and Samuel Mark Yeager (Lynn) of Mobile; daughters, Audrey Raye Hanks (Bob) of Mobile and Jonell Annette Gulsby of Montgomery, AL; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Jerry O'Neal Baxley, born October 12, 1957, passed away on Friday May 22, 2015, at age 57.He was a native of Dothan Alabama and  lifelong resident of Mobile Alabama. Graduate of Theodore High School and Southwest State Technical Institute. Mr. Baxley was a loving father and devoted husband. He is preceded in death by his father William D. Baxley, his mother Velma Sims Baxley, and brother Charles Bruce Baxley. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Tara Baxley, daughter Laura Baxley, step-daughter Melissa Broom, sister Donna Baxley McLain, sister-in-law Teresa Baxley Kisner, nephew Jay Baxley, nieces Ashley Anderson and Beth Hirsch, great-nieces Tayler and Blakely Anderson, and many more family and friends.

1944-2015 Olivia Ellen Jeffreys, of Mobile, was born on September 17, 1944, and passed away May 25, 2015 after a valiant battle with cancer peacefully at her family's home in Opelika. She was 70 years old. She was born in Albany, Georgia and a resided in Mobile for many years. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had many devoted life long friends and family who loved her. Her faith in God was inspiring, especially during her recent illness. She encouraged all around her to strive to enjoy the details of life and to make every moment count. She was a devoted Mother of three children, working tirelessly to provide for her family, as a prestigious hairdresser for over 30 years. She also was a very accomplished seamstress and designer, working at the Brag Mitchell Mansion in Mobile, guiding many Brides to make their wedding an event to remember. After retirement, she returned to school to achieve top honors, graduating from Medical Billing and Coding school at the top of her class at age 68. She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver C. Hall. She is survived by her mother, LaTrelle Russ Tidwell of Warner Robins, Georgia; daughters, Sheri Ellen Burdell (Terry) of Opelika, Alabama, Tonya Lynn Albright of Knoxville, Tennessee; son, Jason Edward Odom (Tammy) of Daphne, Alabama. sister, Barbara LaTrelle Doyle of Mobile, Alabama, Connie Frady of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, Oliver Charles Hall of Duluth, Georgia. Six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Rebecca “Becky” Blackley Reiser passed away at her home in Hudson NY after an extended illness. Becky is survived by her husband Roger “Rusty” Reiser. May 25, 2015 Rev. James Edward Barlow, age 81, formerly of Mobile, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 25, 2015 in Oxford, MS. He was born September 15, 1933 in Evergreen, AL to the late James Franklin and Mary Sowell Barlow. Rev. Barlow was a retired contractor, a retired high school English teacher and a retired Pastor. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Dan Dickerson officiating. A graveside memorial and burial will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, May 29, 2015 in the Mobile Memorial Gardens in Mobile, AL with Rev. Ricky White officiating. Jared Powell, Zachery Powell, Brock Barlow, Austin Harris, Matt Warren and Ken Lucas will serve as pallbearers. Rev. Barlow is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Sutherland Barlow of Water Valley, MS; his daughters, Lynda Powell of Satsuma, AL and Yvette Harris and her husband, Ron of Golden, CO; her son, Warren Keith Barlow and his wife, Lisa of Luling, LA; his sisters, Jo Ann Lucas (Lamar), and Martha Dismukes all of Alabama; two brothers, Pete Barlow (Judy) and Marvin Barlow all of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Jared Powell (Windy), Alyssa Harris Warren (Matt), Amber Barlow, Allyson Harris, Brock Barlow, Austin Harris and Zachery Powell; one great grandson, Jameson Powell; and numerous relatives and friends.
