Robert Michael Baker- A native of Springfield, MO and resident of Theodore, AL died on Monday, September 28, 2015 at the age of 83. Mr. Baker was retired from the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ernestine Morris Baker; two sons, Michael G. Baker and Steven R. Baker; two daughters, Carol Baker (John) Mimms and Emily Marie Wyatt; five grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

Wilhelmina ''Willie'' Privett arrived at her heavenly home on September 28, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, George ''Bill'' Privett, Sr. and Lula Privett; brother, Rev. Calvin Privett,; sister, Burnetta Vickery and her husband, Paul; nephews, Paul Vickery, Jr. and William ''Bill'' Privett; niece's husband, John Clapper and son, John Clapper, Jr. Willie is survived by her brother, Dr. George Privett, Jr. (Martha); sister-in-law, Lorena Privett; nephews, Dale Vickery (Peggy); Jonathan (Cathleen), Gerald, David, and Ronald (Becki) Privett; nieces, Susan Clapper and Marcia George (Lloyd); nephew's wife, Barbara Vickery; very special friend, Emoline Tew. Willie graduated from Murphy High School in 1939. She was secretary to five managers at Sears where she worked for over 43 years. She was a member of the Mobile First Church of the Nazarene. Willie made many friends over the years and was a very compassionate person. She served as caregiver for her father, mother, and sister for many years. She also helped care for her friends who needed a helping hand. She was an avid Alabama football fan, enjoyed bowling and gardening. Peggy Vickery, her niece, would like to say it was an honor to have taken care of Willie for the past five years and to see her make a difference in the lives of those around her at Allen Memorial Home. Willie was not content to ''just sit in her wheelchair''. She encouraged others to join in all the activities. Her jokes, laughter and one-of- a-kind nature will always be remembered by all who met her. As Willie would always say to me, ''You be you and I'll be me!''

Alvin R. Welford

Alvin Richard Welford, a native of Grand Bay, AL and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, passed into eternity after a long and arduous illness. He was one of the twin sons of his late parents, Mary Elizabeth Cunningham Welford and John Cleve Welford. He was brought up in a loving and supportive community. As a Boy Scout he achieved Star rank and the God and Country Award. At Grand Bay United Methodist Church he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. After studying geology at the University of Alabama, he enlisted in the US Navy. He honorably served three tours of duty on the aircraft carrier USS Ranger during the Vietnam War as a flight crewman, then as an aviation electronics tech helping to ensure the safety of navy airplanes. He was a true patriot who always supported the military and exercised the freedom to vote. Afterwards he worked as a medical electronics technician repairing heart monitors, incubators and other life-sustaining equipment at hospitals throughout the Southeast, including the University of South Alabama hospitals in Mobile, AL. His mechanical and electronic abilities enabled him to repair practically anything. He often helped family, friends and even stranded motorists repair their vehicles. He was very personable and possessed a phenomenal memory. He enjoyed sharing stories and experiences with precise detail. He was an avid reader, a history buff, and loved scuba diving, travelling and camping. He was a devoted family man and provided a stable and secure home for his family who dearly loved him. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Underwood Welford; a son, Stephen Welford; a daughter, Laura Welford (Vincent) Santiago; grandchildren, Sheldon Welford, Braylen Welford, Jasmine Welford, Isabella Santiago and Dominic Santiago; a brother, John Mack (Nettie Alice) Welford; his identical twin brother, Calvin (Judy) Welford; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Tyler William Raley, 26, of Mobile, AL, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015. He was co-owner of Alabama Lines Services. He attended Cottage Hill Christian Academy and the University of South Alabama. While at South Alabama, he was a brother of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Tyler was a loving fiancé, son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend. He will be remembered for always having a smile on his face. Tyler had a love for football, music, anything he could bet a $1 on, fishing and much love for his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, George W. Raley, Sr. and Emmanuel Lowe. He is survived by his fiancé, Jill Revette of Mobile, AL; his parents, George and Nancy Raley of Mobile, AL; his sister, Ashley (Scott) Saito of Mobile, AL; his grandmothers, Collette Raley and Francine Lowe; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

KATIE MARIE COLLINS AWALT PIERCE, went to live in her heavenly home on Monday the 28th. She was a resident of Eight Mile, AL for 65 years. Born in Adams Chapel, AL to Mary Adams Collins and Neil George Collins. She graduated high school in Abbeville, AL in 1939 and moved to Mobile County, AL in 1941.
She was a member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church and made sure her children learned about Jesus, but has been unable to attend for many years due to bad health. She loved her family dearly making many sacrifices for them. She raised 10 children in Eight Mile, Alabama, and helped to raise several grandchildren. Katie was a nurse at Mobile Infirmary and retired after 19 years to take care of her Mother until her death in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tommie E Pierce, Sr, her oldest son Joe Neil Awalt and one daughter Carolyn Palmer Carlisle. She leaves to cherish the wonderful memories to her children and other family members who loved her dearly: Helen Fields Fairchild and special friend Ben O'Dell, Tommie (Wanda) Pierce, Jr, Jean (Ray) Bryant, Patricia (Dewey) Cunningham, Rodney Pierce, Katie Eleene Pierce, Phyllis Darley, and Richard (Debbie) Pierce. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, 23 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Also included are special friends Chris Huff, Asher Davis, Ronnie Stokes and many others too numerous to list.

Sandra U Reese, a native of Mobile Alabama, having resided in Grand Bay Alabama and most recently St. Elmo, entered into heaven on Sunday. She is survived by her Sister, Sheri Blackwell of Mobile, three daughters, Jaime Whitehead (Trenton Whitehead) of Fairhope, Tamara Sheffield (Justin Christian) of Grand Bay, and Samantha Nelson of Theodore, ten Grand Children; Flora Hudson, Carrie Whitehead, Brian Taylor, Crystal Orr, Tifiny Kent, Todd Barber, Tara Nelson, Andrew Whitehead, Joseph Bryant and Tori Nelson and nine Great Grand Children, other relatives and many friends. She is predeceased by her Husband James T Reese Jr., Mother Mildred Underwood, Father Alfred Underwood, Beloved Grand Son Trey Nelson, Brother in Law Virgil T Blackwell, and Special Friend Daniel Knight. Our mother was greatly loved by her family as well as many friends and neighbors. Because of her compassionate nature, this was true of even those who only knew her for a short time.
