Maxie Earl Hollinghead, 79, of Aquilla, AL, beloved father, passed away peacefully surrounded by those he lived for and loved on April 26, 2016.
Maxie graduated from Millry High School and joined the Army National Guard upon graduation. At the age of 18 he joined the United States Army where he proudly served in a special forces unit in the Korean War. After the war he returned to the National Guard until 1961. He retired from International Paper Company's Mobile Mill.

He is survived by his son Tom E. Hollinghead of Saraland, AL, daughter Penny H. Taylor-Balme and her husband Kennard P. Balme of Daphne, AL, grandsons David M. Farmani, II and Zachary B. Taylor both of Daphne, AL, step-son Walter R. Primm, Jr. of Grand Bay, AL, brother Joel C. Hollinghead of Dayton, TX, sister Undine Johnson of Big Point, MS, as well as his many loving sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and other friends.
He is predeceased by his wife Mildred Jeanette Primm Hollinghead, his parents David and Mattie Lula Hollinghead, brothers Clearence E. Hollinghead, Henry L. Hollinghead, and Arnold D. Hollinghead.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the members of Fairhope Health and Rehab in Fairhope, AL. Their dedication and efforts to provide quality care over the last year has been heartwarming. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of our time with him.

Services will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL on April 30, 2016. Visitation from 11:00 to 12:00. Grave side service at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations my be made in Maxie's name to USA Children's and Women's Hospital, Hollis J. Wiseman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Barbara Mitchell

Mrs. Barbara F. Mitchell, a native of Laurel, MS. and a longtime resident of Mobile County, died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was retired from J.C. Penney with many years of service. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by six children, Judy (Scott) Jordan, Dennis Mitchell, Cindy (Richard) Johnson, Kathy Breland, Scott Mitchell and Tawnya Mitchell; one brother Bud (Sharon) Fortner; ten grandchildren, and her special great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Burial at 3:30 pm in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Donald Ray Kollin, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Frances Kollin and Julia Emily Fisher Kollin, and his brothers, Charles Walter Kollin, and Henry Francis Kollin. His survivors include his three daughters, Dona Victoria Kollin, Julie Ann Kollin (Levi) Sanders and Pamela Annette Kollin; nine grandchildren, Taylor Victoria, Parker Kollin, Katie Ann, Noah Patrick, William Andrew, Jennifer Marie (Chris), Christopher Ryan (Sandy), Tiffany Lera (Wyatt) and Sarah Grace; his sister, Karen Kollin Durden; his brother, Robert Earl (Pam) Kollin; five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29, 2016 at 12:00 Noon from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Thomas Richard Duff, Sr., a native and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the age of 68. He was employed as an engineer for South Central Bell and retired after approximately 40 years of service. Tommy loved the woods and his family and served as a Boy Scout leader and Scoutmaster for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norbert Duff and Hilda Conway Duff; his wife, Diane Duff and his siblings, Norbert Duff, Jr. and Baby Duff. His survivors include his children, Richard (Mary) Duff, Matthew (Margaret) Duff and Gary Van English, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Riley and Francis (Vincent) Bosarge; five brothers, Robert (Jolean) Duff, Ray (Dee) Duff, Andrew Duff, Lawrence (Joy) Duff, and Patrick (Darlene) Duff; five grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. William ''Bill'' Galloway Haley, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 in Mobile, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Marshall Haley. He is survived by his daughter, Janis Haley (Mark) Everest; son, Jeff (Ramona) Haley; son, Mark Haley; grandsons, Jonathan Everest, Joel (Jessica) Everest; step-grandson, Luke McDaniel; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jane Everest and devoted friend Rosalie Steiner. He was a native of Fayette, Alabama and served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked for L&N Railroad (later CSX) and was involved in many community activities, particularly coaching youth baseball. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday 1pm until service time at the funeral home.

Douglas Clayton O'Shea, age 91, born in Mobile, AL to William Lloyd O'Shea, Sr. and Lorena Smith O'Shea passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Mobile Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Joyce Crawford O'Shea; his brothers, Vernon and Lloyd O'Shea; sisters Lorraine Harmon and Elaine Mason. He is survived by a daughter, Diane O'Shea Travis (Ed) and a son, Glenn O'Shea; six grandchildren, Zach Travis (Jenni) Theodore, AL., Diana Travis Woollen (Mike) Hendersonville, NC, Tyler Travis (Jill) of Citronelle, AL, Ryan O'Shea, Warner Robbins, GA, Ashley O'Shea, Pensacola, FL and Whitney O'Shea of Mobile, AL.; six great grandchildren; Chase, Lucy, Makenna, Rhett, Anna Kate and Haley; sister in laws Elizabeth O'Shea and Emma O'Shea and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Doug graduated from Murphy High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII where he served in the Pacific Theater. He worked at Brookley Air Force Base for 25 years and Teledyne Continental Motors. After retiring he moved to Baldwin County and was residing in Fairhope at the time of his death. He was a former member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Mobile, AL.His burial and service were private.

Linda M Gibson

Aug 03, 1951 - April 23, 2016 Linda Mosley Gibson, 64 years old, a native of Mobile, AL, and a resident of Spanish Fort, AL, passed away on April 23, 2016. Linda was a graduate of Murphy High School, where she was a member of the band, and she studied Psychology at Shepherd University in West Virginia and Spanish in Lima, Peru. Linda started her career at South Central Bell as an operator. She relocated to Loudon County, VA in 1982, where she and her husband, Steve, raised their four children. She worked as a clerk for the U. S. Postal Service for nineteen years before becoming disabled. She returned to the Mobile area in 2011, and she volunteered for the Mobile District Attorney's Office working with the Child Advocacy Group. Linda was one of the most compassionate people you could ever meet, and she loved music, horses, history, especially the Civil War era, and most of all helping others. Linda was loved and will be greatly missed. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Kermit (KC) Mosley, and a daughter, Autumn Diane Dunlap. She is survived by her husband of thirty-eight years, Harold Stephen Gibson; a daughter Kathryn Vaughn Allen (Phillip) of Middleton, MD; two sons, Stephen Anthony Gibson and James David Gibson of Spanish Fort, AL; her mother, Naomi Emeline Mosley; four sisters, Diane Mosley Beckman (Alan), Toni Mosley Drinkard, Darlene Mosley Lacy and Kathy Mosley Stokes (Lee); three grandchildren, Emma, Jillian and Tess Allen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, from 5 - 8 p.m., at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, and the Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 28, at 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King Church, Daphne, AL.
