April 30, 1962 - Oct. 30, 2016 Sheryl Darlene Turney 54, of Mobile passed away Sunday at her home. Sheryl was a graduate of Davidson High School. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her father Roger Warren Turney, and Brother Michael Keith Turney. Sheryl is survived by mother Patsy Turney and sister Christina Turney. Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home- Mobile with Rev. Fred Wolf officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 pm until the start of the service. Burial will be at Mobile Memory Gardens.

Troy Fisher

Troy Horta Fisher, Sr., a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 71. He was a retired barber and instructor at Bishop State Community College. He enjoyed fishing and believed in living life to the fullest. His grandchildren were his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Vincent Fisher, Sr. and Jessie Paul Reed Fisher, and his brother, David Fisher. His survivors include his wife of 43 years, Marilyn Hirsch Fisher; three sons, Troy H. Fisher, Jr., Brandon M. (Amy) Fisher and Christopher A. (Jennifer) Fisher; five brothers, Joseph V. (Mary) Fisher, Jr., Jimmy (Jimmie Carol) Fisher, George (Patsy) Fisher, Herbert (Pam) Fisher, and Louis (Peggy) Fisher; his sister, Margie Fisher Hester; five grandchildren, Davis, Molly Michael, Hudson, MacLayne and Maybreigh; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Fred Wolfe, will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM from Luke 4:18 Fellowship, 2664 Sollie Road, Mobile, AL 36695. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Wednesday evening, November 2, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Ethel Earl Bridges Gill, age 102, of New Orleans, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 at her home. She is survived by her three children, James W. (June) Gill of Mobile, Jean Gill of New Orleans, and Jeannette (Dare) Oliver of Baton Rouge; a sister, Emmie Nell Stokes of Linden, AL; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. A visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. Kenneth Ralph Dreibelbis, Sr. (1/16/30- October 28, 2016) A native of Coshockton, OH and resident of Mobile, AL died on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the age of 86. Mr. Dreibelbis a veteran of the US Air Force and was retired from Chevron in Pascagoula after 39 years of service. He was a long time member (54 Years) of First Baptist Church of Dawes and was an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dreibelbis; five children, Lynn (Steve) Funchess, Renee (Randy) Mothershed, Randy (Robin) Dreibelbis, Kenneth (Melanie) Dreibelbis and Glenn (Brenda) Dreibelbis; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy A Berry " Dot " Age 83, a native of Covington, Ms. and resident of Mobile, Al passed away on Wednesday, October 26,2016. She was a fulltime mom of four and worked as a Family Service Counselor for several local cemeteries and funeral homes for over 18 years. She enjoyed traveling with family and the many activities of the " Widows Web " affiliated with her church. She was an active member of Our Savior Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Clarence J Berry, her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and a son William " Bill ' Berry. She is survived by her children Robert (Linda) Rossi, Nancy Carroll, Elizabeth Berry ( George ) Laskay, sisters Wanda (Al) Cavignaro, Mary (Norris) Walker,grandchildren Nicholas Berry Laskay, Lauren Carroll, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday November 1st, 2016 at 11:00 am with visitation at the church from 10:00 am til mass time. In lieu of flowers donations maybe made at Our Savior Catholic Church.

Anna Pearl Young, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile County, AL, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Reginald Whatley and Homer Young; one Grandson, Robert ''Chris'' Whatley and Great-Grandchild, Brianna Baker. She is survived by one son, Robert (Mary C.) Whatley; three sisters, Helen Gatchel, Dorothy Spence and Ramola Morris; one grandson, Jonathan Whatley; two granddaughters, Rhonda Elkins and Glenda Baker and other relatives. Oct. 26, 2016 Kenneth E. Giles, a longtime resident of Mobile, died on Wednesday. He was an Army veteran, having served in Viet Nam. Robert (Bob) DeVan was a long time resident of Saraland, AL., passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2016. Bob served in the United States Navy as a cook on the USS Oriskany. He was a long haul truck driver and retired from US Metals. He loved fishing, hunting and being surrounded by family and friends. He was a kind and friendly man. Bob never met a stranger. He was always willing to jump in and help whether with a wrench or a kind word. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jewell DeVan, daughters, Vicki Wyres, Joyce Stein and son, Carl Selby. He is also survived by his brother, Chris DeVan, sisters; Betty Todd, Nancy Chrystler, Janet Schlarb (Connie), Pattie Sommers (Kevin), Peggy Clark, Mary Gritzmaker, uncle, Verland DeVan, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog Precious . He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Marge (step-mother) DeVan, mother, Irene Jernigan, brother, Tim DeVan, sister, Jo Nemeth and beloved daughter Dawn DeVan. Dec. 12, 1938-Oct. 25, 2016 Clara Maxine Williamson George, a native of Laurel, MS and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at the age of 77. For many years she worked as a real estate broker and owned and operated Gulf Premier Properties in Gulf Shores, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Williamson and Clara Belle Whitehead Fendley; her step-father, Aubrey Fendley; her brother, Aubrey Gary Fendley and the father of her children, Thomas Allen George. Her survivors include two daughters, Connie George (Stephen) Daughdrill and Teri George Pierre; two sisters, Dorothy Williamson (Terry) Turner and Kathleen Williamson English; her grandchildren, Brad (Becca) Daughdrill, Kristen (Bobby) Corrigan, Brent (Kim) Daughdrill, Paige (Lee) Beasley and Gilbert Pierre; two great-grandchildren, Robert Eugene "Bo" Corrigan, IV and Colsson Greene "C.G." Beasley; dear friend, Glenda George; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
