Alice "Ally" Faye Johnson Igo
July 1, 1938 - April 29, 2019
Alyce was a native of Mobile. She attended Oakdale Elementary School. She raduated from Murphy High School, class of 1953. She Worked at Waller Bros. a few years before marrying, Wayne C. Igo, in 1961. They moved to Mount Summit, Indiana for a brief time. On returning to Mobile she went back to Waller Bros. In 1972, she moved to Texas and worked as an executive secretary at Howell Instruments in Fort Worth Texas. After several years she returned home to Mobile in 2001, and worked at Nazarene Learning center until her retirement August 29, 2013, due to illness.
Alyce enjoyed cooking and baking and we loved her pound cakes. She loved her family and provided for them always.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Durward B. Johnson, Sr. and Corine McLeod Johnson; sisters Marjorie Johnson and Sharon J. Horner; brother Durward B. Johnson, Jr. (DB). She is survived by her two daughters, Ramy K. Igo of Mobile, AL and Kathy A. Igo of Mobile, AL; three grandchildren, Keylan C. Hardy, Taylor N. Hardy, and Alyce "Katherine" Lawrence; two brothers, Willard B. Johnson of Mobile, AL and Howard P. Johnson (Patricia) of Burleson, TX; one sister Barbara J. Wood (Harold) of Mobile, AL, and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10:oo AM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
