George Raymond - Mobile Memorial Gardens

George Joseph Raymond, age 81, of Mobile, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Providence Hospital.
George was passionate about helping people when he could and doing the right thing. This was never more evident in his life, than when he was a teenager. The chief of police in Prichard, Alabama made George a town mascot or honorary policeman. He took this role very seriously and was so proud of the honor. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Raymond; brother, William Raymond Jr.; and sister, Cora Stoll. Survivors include his sister, Helen Cathy Middleton and her husband, Donald and nephew, Daniel Middleton. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Monday prior to the service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
