Janet Kirk Davis, age 68, of Pascagoula passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at her home. She was born August 12, 1957, in Pascagoula to Montgomery Blair Kirk, Jr and Virginia Ann Parrott Kirk. Janet was a lifelong resident of Pascagoula and graduated from Pascagoula High School in 1975. She was a former Deputy Clerk of Jackson County Chancery Clerk, Justice Court Clerk, and First Class Painter from Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula. She retired in 2017 from Ingalls after 17 years of employment. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church in Pascagoula. Traveling with her sister, Lynn, was a joyous occasion to Canada, California, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and many more domestic locations. Janet enjoyed spending time outside riding her bike at Pascagoula Beach and spending time with her family and fur baby cat, Tuta. She was an incredible cook, especially banana pudding and her well known, Lasagna. Janet often spoke of an idea to open a food service to provide her frozen Lasagna. Janet will be remembered by her fun spirit and courageous ability to take life as it is given and make the best of time spent with others. Survivors that will continue to remember her life and memories to cherish are two daughters and one son, Becky Davis (Chad), Moss Point; Burt Davis, III (Maranda), Lucedale; Virgina Davis, Pascagoula; brother, Monty Kirk (Catherine), Fayetteville, NC; sister, Lynn Kirk, Pascagoula; six grandchildren, Rylee Winstead and Reece Winstead of Moss Point, Burt Davis, IV and Rainey Davis of Lucedale; Alacia Davis and Ayden Davis, of Pascagoula; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a loving church family. Family would like to acknowledge their appreciation for the Singing River Cancer Center employees, Dr. Michael Finan, devoted nurses Christina and Theresa, and Hospice of Light nurses and team for assisting Janet with her care and helping the family through this season of her life.
