Jo Ann Orso a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on Thursday, at the age of 70. Jo Ann is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Richard Orso; her daughter, Debbie Hartley (Tommy); her son, Micky Orso (Missy); grandchildren Hallie and Stiles King; brother-in-law Jimmy Orso (the late Martha); and her loyal companion, dog Zipper. Jo Ann is lovingly remembered by her dearest friends Sherrie Crutchfield, Disa Jackson (Kevin Smither), Cathy Payne (the late Sonny) and Pat Rose (the late Charlie); hairdresser and dear friend Terri Mooring (Bob Alday); and the sisters of The Order of Venus. Jo Ann was born, raised and a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama. She enjoyed spending precious time with family and friends, Mardi Gras, cooking and entertaining. A visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama 36619, on Tuesday, April 16 from 12 – 2 p.m. Chapel service to immediately follow.
