John David Ford, a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 56.
Born on May 16, 1970, John grew up in Mobile and graduated from Murphy High School. He pursued his passion for technology at the University of South Alabama, earning a degree in computer science. This foundation led to a fulfilling career in Information Technology. John truly loved his job, finding genuine joy in his daily work and the tech world. Outside of his career, he was an avid movie buff who loved spending his free time enjoying films.
Above all, John was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving parents, Bobbie and Jimmy Ford; his brother, Jimmy Dewayne Ford Jr., and sister-in-law, Tracie; his beloved daughter, Lexi Watts; and his cherished niece, Elizabeth Anne Ford. He will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him, especially his family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation at 11:00 AM, followed by a parlor service at 11:30 AM. Interment will immediately follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
