Joseph Henry Boulian was born in Orange, Texas, on December 8, 1927, to Augusta Carr and Joseph Peter Boulian. He passed away at 92 years of age peacefully at his home in Mobile, Alabama, on June 19, 2020. Joseph graduated from Westlake High School in 1945. He went on to join the United States Navy where he served his country as a Hospital Corpsman during World War II, the Korean War, as well as the Vietnam War. During his time with the Military, he received multiple commendations and awards including the Purple Heart Medal. After his time in the Military Joseph received an Associate’s Degree in Business from Bishop State Community College. He later worked with the State Department of Mental Health, at the Albert P. Brewer Developmental Center from 1975 until his retirement in 1990. Being a man of service, Joseph was also a Master Mason and served as the Worshipful Master of the H E Palmes Lodge #917. He went on to be a member of the Scottish Rite, 32nd degree. Joseph was known for being a very caring and giving man. He was very dedicated to Grace United Methodist Church, where he was frequently the talk of the day with his sharp clothes, hats, and colorful socks. As an avid sports fan, he was often found supporting various family members at sporting events and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. His parents and his late wife Margret O’Gynn preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Myra Ellisor Boulian, his children David Boulian (Jan), Charles Boulian (Sharon), David Ellisor (Melissa), Cynthia Boswell(Jack), Lynda McNair, Mary Moore (Michael) and his grandchildren Jarrod Foerster, Shanna Trim (Mikhail), Jimbo McNair (Misty), Davida Varner (James), Jennifer Ellisor, Brittany Ellisor, Renee’ Ginn (Nick), Ashley Barbour (Randy), Michele Moore, Madeline Moore, numerous great-grandchildren, and many special friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations be made to Grace United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A chapel service will be held at 10am on Friday, 06/26/2020 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
