Lillian Cochran

April 17, 2019
Lillian Pearl Cochran, age 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, she was known by those who loved her as “Honey.” Honey is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Nathan L. Cochran; son, Richard (Becky) Cochran; sister, Teresa Lee; brother, Buddy Lee; grandson, Bradley Cochran and great-granddaughter, Cassidy Cochran. She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Barbara) Cochran, Stephen Cochran, Michael (Debbie) Cochran, and daughter, Patricia (Malcolm) O’Farrill-Donalson; grandchildren, Thomas (Kim) Cochran, Chris (Stephanie) Cochran, Catherine (Le) Hanks, Sarah Cochran, Stephen (Jenny) Cochran, Jorge (Nora) O’Farrill, Jenny (Chris) Arras, Laura (Dustin) Andrews, Stephanie Cochran, and Carolyn (Dustin) Jones; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Honey was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and worked as an interior designer at Gardberg’s Furniture in Mobile where she was known for her expertise in design and her great respect for the individual needs and personality of her clients. At home, Honey always said “pretty is as pretty does,” and her family to which she devoted her life and poured endless energy and love into, all know that by such measurements Honey was as pretty as they get—as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside; for no one “did pretty” or was more thoughtful and kind than she always was. Honey was an absolute joy and light in this world, and she will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, April 17th in the Parish Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church from 12:00-1:00. The funeral service will begin in the chapel at 1:00 followed by a graveside service at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
