Melinda Ott - Mobile Memorial Gardens

Melinda Sue Parker Ott, a native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 62. She was retired from the bakery at Winn Dixie and had been employed in the cafeteria at Hutchens Elementary School for the past 12 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Shirley Parker, Sr. and Betty Jean Shaw Parker; and her brother, James Shirley Parker, Jr. Her survivors include her husband, Jerry Lamar “Doby” Ott; two daughters, Decia Ott (David) Nichols and Brook Ott (Ryan) Paul; two sisters, Michelle Parker (Scott) Hamilton and Karla Parker (Daren) Hilyer; three grandchildren, Matt (Hailey) Ott, Madison Nichols and Tinsley Davis; one great-granddaughter, Avaleigh Ott; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Sunday evening, January 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at 12:00 Noon from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
