Valencia Thornton Hoven - age 87, a native of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2019, after a lengthy illness. Valencia enjoyed a 42 year career with AT&T. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Raymond Hoven. She is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Hoven (Charlie) Garris of Peachtree City, Georgia, and Susan Hoven Cason, of Vienna, Virginia; three grandsons, Hunter (Logan) Garris, Joshua Cason, and Connor Cason, and many loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Mobile. Donations may be made in her honor to the Lewy Body Dementia Association (LBDA) or Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.

A chapel service will be held at 11am on Saturday, 04/27/2019 from Radney Funeral Home in Saraland, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
