Mrs. Ollie Jean Walston, a native of Meridian, MS, and long time resident of Mobile, AL passed away Sunday November 10th in Tampa, FL. Mrs. Walston was a longtime member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church and greatly enjoyed the time she spent working with the Methodist Youth Fellowship group with her husband Dinty. Mrs. Walston loved the beach and spending time at Gulf Shores, AL. She was a homemaker and loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dinty W. Walston Sr., and is survived by one daughter, Lori Jean Walston of Dunedin, FL; one son, Dinty Wright (Cynthia) Walston Jr. of Lutz, FL; one granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Walston of Lakeland, FL; one brother, Vernon Floyd Brown of Enterprise, MS; and one sister, Carol May Leggett of Columbus, MS. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Washington Brown, mother, Susie Kate Hyde, three brothers, Edward Clay Brown, Ralph Alonzo Brown, Buford Hyde Brown, three sisters, Agnes Aunita Harbour, Dorothy Anna Gill, and Susie Rebecca Ray.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, November 18th, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with service to follow in the chapel. Burial will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Monday, 11/18/2019 from Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
