Robert Burkett Sturdivant, Jr., age 76, a native of Grenada, MS and a resident of Mobile, AL, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020.
Robert was a true gentleman, soft spoken, thoughtful and kind. An avid Alabama Fan. He began his career in 1964 at Scott Paper Company and retired from DTE Energy Services as a shift operator.
Mr. Sturdivant was preceded in death by his wife Merry Sims Sturdivant.
He is survived by his
daughter, Vivian Leigh Sturdivant of Gulf Shores, AL;
son, Robert Edwin (Dee-Ann) Sturdivant of Houston, TX;
two grandchildren, Chase Howell and Joey Kalec;
sisters, D'Lo (Angel) Trejo of Tallahassee, FL;
Deena McMullen of Elberta, AL,
brother, John (Candice) Sturdivant of Daphne, AL;
many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 29, 2020, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Daphne, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
Funeral services and interment will be private.
A private service will be held.
