Mrs. Margaret Jean Barber Kesterson, 89, passed away on October 25, 2020 in Mobile. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 10 – 12 at Serenity Funeral Home with a chapel service to follow at 12. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Kesterson was a retired nurse who began her nursing career in Warner Robins, GA and later moved to Mobile where she worked at Springhill Hospital. She was an artist who painted on canvas and pottery. She enjoyed traveling and was an excellent cook and baker. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Jennings, second husband, Robert Kesterson, Sr. sons, Bruce Wayne Jennings and Bobby Kesterson, Jr.; brother, Reginald Vick Barber and sister, Donnette Cazalaz.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Jennings McLeod (Bobby J.); sons, Ray Kesterson (Rose Ann), Rod Kesterson (Kristy) and Zackary Kesterson (Brittany); daughter-in-law, Linda Jennings; brother, Robert Barber (Brenda); grandchildren, Joseph Kesterson, Jannice Kesterson Glover, Ryan Turner, Reaghan Turner Humphries, Katie Kesterson and Colin Kesterson; great grandchildren, Mary Grace Glover and Brooklynn Adcock and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A chapel service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, 10/27/2020 from Serenity Funeral Home, followed by a committal service at the grave site.
