Robert A. Harris, Jr., age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. He served in the Navy and the Air Force reserve and later worked at South Central Bell, where he worked his way up to a management position. He was a former member of the Tillman's Corner Chamber of Commerce, was affiliated with the Tillman's Corner Senior's Club and served as President for many years, was a deacon at Tillman's Corner First Baptist Church, and was well known in the Tillman's Corner area. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lenora Harris Neill; brother, Alexander Harris; and sister, Gail Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Pouncey Harris; 2 daughters, Lelani (Mitch) Waltman and Andrea (Ronnie) Freeland; 7 grandchildren, Brandi Waltman, Kaylla Waltman, Jimmy Waltman, Dreanna Freeland, Lanae Freeland, Nathan Freeland, and Christian Freeland; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21 at 2-3 PM at Tillman's Corner First Baptist Church with service to follow at 3 PM. Internment will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on June 21st.
