Robert Charles Gollott

Robert Charles Gollott, 71, beloved father, brother, and husband, passed peacefully on July 5, 2021, in Mobile, AL with his family by his side. Robert was a lifelong resident of Mobile and a graduate of Murphy High School and Mobile College, and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In his early years he was a teacher at West End Baptist and later pursued his love of music through serving as Choir Director at Agricola Baptist Church, Myers Memorial Baptist Church, and Westminster Presbyterian Church, as well as radio announcing for 91.3 WHIL. He was most recently a member of Open Table UCC. He was a Polio survivor, a lover of books and classical music, and he cherished his family deeply. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gollott, and his parents, R.B. and Anna Gollott. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Britton Gollott, and daughter-in-law, Amanda Gollott; sister, Patricia Lafon, and brother-in-law, Michael Lafon; and his nephew, Christopher Lafon, and his wife, Amanda Lafon. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends. Charles will be greatly missed. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the incredible staff at Springhill Medical Center ICU. SERVICE INFORMATION: Visitation will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church (151 S. Ann St. Mobile, AL 36604) at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2021, with service to follow at 10:30 a.m. Committal service to take place graveside at 12:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery (6100 Three Notch Rd. Mobile, AL 36619).
