Willis L. Boutwell, Jr. age 77, born on June 10, 1944, and lifelong resident of Mobile, peacefully passed away at his home on Saturday, August 14, 2021. Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.
He was a graduate of Theodore High School, Class of 1962. He was a truck driver, a Shriner, and loved Alabama Football. Willis was very talented at wood working, grew a bountiful garden and enjoyed fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Willis L. Boutwell, Sr.; his mother, Aquilla “Kit” Boutwell; two brothers, Douglas Boutwell and Edgar Boutwell; and two sisters, Nancy Witter, and Diane Walker.
A beloved companion, dad, grandfather, and great-grand father, he is survived by wife of 19 years, JoAnn Boutwell; his daughters, Lisa (Johnny) Hill, Tracy O’Brien, Shelley Smith, and Kristen (Joe) Gibson; his siblings, Sharon Ausburn, Michael (Voncile) Boutwell, Lamar Boutwell, and Cynthia White; his grandchildren, Douglas (Cydney) Boutwell, Jackie (Trey) Krueger, Katey O’Brien, Baylee Andrews, Evan Andrews, and Riley Gibson; 7 great-grandchildren; Ex-wife, Jan Miller Crawford; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, August 20, 2021. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by the service at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
