Willis C. Sherwood, III – a 73 year-old former resident of Mobile and current resident of Florala, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. He was a member of the U.M.S. class of 1966 and earned a degree in building science from the University of Florida where he was a member of the varsity tennis team and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Mr. Sherwood was preceded in death by his parents, Willis C. Sherwood, Jr. and Virginia Thompson Sherwood. He is survived by his son, Will Davis Sherwood (Brittany); granddaughter, Violet Annabelle Sherwood; sister, Virginia Sherwood Martin (Dr. C. Allen); nephews, Lee Thompson Martin (Susan) and C. Allen Martin, III; other relatives and friends. Private graveside services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to your charity of choice.
