Lewis was born in Mobile Alabama to L.N. Dunnam and Phyllis Summersgill Dunnam
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis.
Lewis was a skilled welder and a journeyman electrician by trade, belonging to IBEW Local 505. He travelled to many locations all over the United States for his work, making lifelong friends along the way.
Big Lewis, as he was called by those close to him, enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, and he loved to talk all things hunting and deer. He spent many happy hours in the woods. One of the other great loves of his life was his Harley, He would spend hours on his Harley, taking many Sunday afternoon rides on his Dyna Wide Glide. He loved going to Biker Rally's and hanging out with his Biker buddies there. In his youth, Lewis was a champion water skier, a sport he learned at an early age from his mother.
Lewis loved being "Papa Lew" to his 5 granddaughters, nothing made him happier than to be with family and friends.
Lewis is survived by his father, L.N. Dunnam Jr., 2 sons, Lewis Nathan Dunnam IV (Ashley) Justin (Mandy) 1 Brother, Guy Dunnam (Terrie) 5 granddaughters: McKenzie and Lainey Dunnam, Katerina and Camille Dunnam, and Belle Strahan 1 Grandson, Ocean Jones and 2 nephews, Brian Dunnam (Amy) and Mitchell Dunnam
Our family takes comfort in knowing that Lewis is reunited with his mother.

Service for Lewis is set for Saturday August 29, 2021 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation for family at 12:30 friends at 1:00 service begins at 2:00
Lewis was a good man and had a big heart. I was thankful to have know him.
