Doloris “Dee'' Parmer - Born December 13, 1944, in Mobile County, Alabama, and was a resident of Gainesville, Georgia, died December 7, 2021. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports, family gatherings and Alabama football. While living in Mobile, she taught elementary school, served as a loan originator for Regions Bank and worked for CARES Health & Wellness as a prosthetist and as an office assistant. As a breast cancer survivor, she was very active in the American Cancer Society and Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. She attended Bienville Elementary School, KJ Clark Middle School and CF Vigor High School. She attended Livingston State University and studied Early Childhood Education at the University of South Alabama. After moving to Gainesville, Ga, she attended Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father Kendrell Cecil Parmer, mother Ruby Adell Copeland Parmer and very dear friend, Ida M. Linsley. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Lynn McLeod and Shirley A. (Eric) Grizzle; three brothers, Cecil H. (Lavada) Parmer, Raymond R. Parmer, Paul V. (Jody) Parmer; four grandchildren, Andrew J. McLeod, Molly A. McLeod, Ashlyn Jones and Delaney Grizzle. She was loved by a host of nieces and nephews and a best friend, Miriam Elliott.

A visitation for Doloris will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Doloris will be laid to rest in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 6040 Three Knotch Rd., Mobile, Alabama 36693.
