James Carlton Martin ,63, departed life on earth and entered the arms of Jesus on 12/19/2021. He was born 2/14/1958 to the late Leo Kearley and Alene Haskins Kearley.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Deborah Martin, Three brothers Butch Martin, Jerry Kearley , and George Kearley , Two sisters Mary Johnson and Collette Kearley , Six Children James Martin JR , Barbara Martin , Robert Martin , Drue Martin , Angela Waltman and Melissa Smith , Ten Grand kids with one on the way ,Nieces , Nephews and countless friends.
He was a US Merchant Marine officer boat captain for over 20 years, James was a member of Oak Park Church, he enjoyed wood carving, drawing and spending time with family in his spare time. James was a Loving , husband, dad, uncle , brother ,paw paw , and friend. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on December 30th at 11am-12pm and Chapel from 12pm-1pm at Cottage Hill Memorial Funeral Home 7158 Cottage Hill Rd. Mobile, AL 36695. Grave side service will be held immediately after at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery 6100 Three Notch Rd Mobile, AL 36619.
