Pauline Hammac, age 88 of Mobile, departed this earth on February 18, 2022, at the home of her son in Alabaster, Alabama. Pauline was born on February 26, 1933, in Lexington, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Watson, Mary Lottie Watson and Evie Watson; sisters, Velma Horton, Billie Faye Rice, Melva Jean Robertson Barbara Ann Clark; and brothers, William Watson, George Watson, Oscar Watson, Wilburn Watson, Paul Watson and Murray Watson.
Pauline is survived by her children, Clay (Tammy) Hammac of Alabaster, AL, Cindy (Gerry) Smith of Mobile, AL, and Paula (Richard) Turner of Eight Mile, AL; grandchildren, Donnette’ (Billy) Logan, Clay (Laura) Hammac, Mandy (Daniel) Quekemeyer, Candace (Daniel) Costello, Savannah Hammac, Willow Hammac, Brian (Tiffany) Smith, Carson Smith, Mary Lazzari, Vic (Tyler-Anne) Lazzari; great-grandchildren, John, Reagan, Joey and Emma Hammac, Dylan and Brody Logan, Amelia, Adalyn, Nolan and Keaton Costello, Noah and Kali Smith, Aubri Coaker; and her sister, Martha Chisolm.
Pauline worked for many years for West Building Materials and Lowe’s of Mobile. When not at work, you would find Pauline on her back porch reading, drinking a cup of coffee and watching the birds. She particularly loved cardinals and hummingbirds and always welcomed springtime when her azaleas and dogwoods exploded in bloom. She was a true Proverbs 31 mother who was the epitome of grace and kindness to all she met. She instilled in her children and grandchildren a strong work ethic, but more importantly she made sure they knew the Lord.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Charles Couey officiating. Interment will be immediately following the services at Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL 36619.
