John "Rich" Richard Davis, II

May 17, 1976 – February 20, 2022
John Richard Davis II “Rich”, passed away February 20th, 2022 after a long fight with cancer. He was surrounded by his family & friends. Rich enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball teams, working on electronics, NASCAR, military history and Alabama football. He also loved playing with his dog Bella as well as all his former pets Wilbur, Kasey, Lexi and Paris. Some of whom were rescues. His greatest love was the family summer home Tweety Davis Yacht Club on Mobile Bay where he spent many wonderful days with family & friends. He was captain of the yacht club & Bay Queen II. Rich loved Mardi Gras and his mystic society. Military was part of his life as well. He was a member of the 1165th military police unit where he served proudly. Rich attended the University of South Alabama. His employment included being a dispatcher for Alabama State Troopers, Mobile County EMS, the Electrical Union, Meadows Electric, CND and Electrical Technician for Comm Systems. He is survived by his parents, Jack and Denese Davis; his sister, Kristen Davis, his wife, Jeannie Brooks Davis; his children, Jackson Davis and Elizabeth Davis, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1st from 10:00-11:00am at St. Dominic Murphy Center 4156 Burma Rd. Mobile, AL 36693. Mass of Christian burial will follow in the church at 11:00am. Burial will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens 6100 Three Notch Rd. Mobile, AL 36619. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers you may donate to Wounded Warriors Project, Tunnels 2 Towers or Warrior Dog Foundation.

  1. My life will never be the same without you. I will cherish all the memories we have made over 25 years, and I will tell our children daily about all about the wonderful times we had. Thank you for giving me the blessing of being a member of the Davis family. I will do my best to support and care for them just as you would have. Until we meet again, my love, I will be thinking of you, your amazing smile, and how you were always my best friend.
