Ruby Fowler Norstedt, age 85, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 7, 2022. She was a faithful member of Cottage Hill Baptist church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a talented singer and a member of the Joy Singers. She enjoyed playing tennis and snow skiing. She loved people and always said the right thing. She was a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, dear friend, and devoted prayer warrior. She loved the Lord with all her heart, all her soul and all her strength. Even through her battle with Alzheimer's, her love for the Lord was ever present on her face. Her spirit will be greatly missed but her legacy will continue through all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Axel Norstedt, Jr.; parents, Mildred, and Charles Fowler; sister, Sarah Elizabeth Dawson; brother, Charles Oscar Fowler.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Elizabeth L. (Herman) Fountain, David Axel (Donna) Norstedt and Mark Alan Norstedt; grandchildren, Sean (Brie) VanHorn, Adam (Amanda) VanHorn, Ryan (Lauren) VanHorn, Elizabeth (Dustin) Namirr, Nicholas (Lizzie) VanHorn, Brandon (Ashley) Norstedt, Davelyn (Joshua) Scott, Ashley Anna Norstedt, Emily Norstedt, and Noel Norstedt; 19 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The Visitation for Ruby Fowler Norstedt will be Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Cottage Hill Baptist Church. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM in the chapel with Rev. Ronnie McCarson officiating. Burial will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
