Neal Denton, age 75, went into the loving arms of Jesus on October 16. 2022 at 12:09 am. after a battle with cancer. Neal is survived by his wife, Mona, his two children, Mark Denton (Cari, her children Andon and Caden) and Jonathan Denton, as well as three grandchildren, Matthew Denton, Raeann Denton, and Isabella Denton. He was proud to have two great grandchildren, Baylee Zubik and Brentlee Denton. Neal was a wonderful stepfather and was loved dearly by his stepchildren, Paula Torgerson (Kevin), Tyler Williams (Du), Erich Reitzammer and their children. Aside from his family, Neal's greatest devotion was the 26 years he served in the United States Coast Guard, retiring in 1994 as an E-8 (Senior Chief Petty Officer). During his active duty career, his greatest passion was serving as a Load and Drop Master on the HC-130B and HC-130H Hercules aircraft. Neal always had a knack for making people laugh. He didn't let cancer affect his spirit. He had a passion for singing, whether it was in the church choir or the occasional karaoke. He was a faithful Christian and made a family out of his church group. We know that God is pleased to have one of His kind and generous angels back in His arms. He will be deeply missed by those of us on earth until their heavenly reunion.

Ascension Funeral will host services at Pathway Church- Moffett Campus, this Friday October 21, 2022, beginning with visitation at 10:00 am and the service at 11:00 am. A military graveside burial will immediately follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
