Jarrell Clark (Schreiner) Schreiner

July 24, 1939 ~ November 7, 2022 (age 83)
Jarrell Clark Schreiner, age 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday November 7, 2022 at Saad Hospice Facility surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Bessie Schreiner of Mobile, AL. and his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Johnson Schreiner. Clark will be greatly missed by his son Todd Schreiner (Tonya) of Mobile, daughter Robin Gurganus (Phillip) of Northport, AL; and grandchildren Taylor Gurganus (Peyton), Hannah Gurganus, Chloe Lyle and Mayce Lyle. Clark was born on July 24, 1939 in Mobile, AL. He was a graduate of Murphy High School in the class of 1958. Clark then attended Auburn University where he received a degree in Industrial Management at the School of Engineering in 1963. Clark was united in marriage to the love of his life, Janice Johnson on June 17, 1967. They were happily married for 53 wonderful years. He briefly worked as an Insurance Adjuster in Brewton, AL. After a year of marriage, Clark and Janice moved to Mobile in 1968 and raised two children. He was employed at Teledyne Continental Motors for six years as a Senior Buyer before moving to Degussa Chemical Corporation in 1979. He retired with Degussa after 20+ years of service. Clark also served in the Air Force Reserves from 1963 to 1969 as an Aircraft Reciprocating Engine Mechanic. Clark was an active member at First Baptist Church in Tillman's Corner. He served as a deacon and pastoral care leader for many years. He was also very involved with the Mission of Hope Ministries. He was a mentor to many and an inspiration to everyone he knew. He loved sharing his faith in Jesus with others and helping people in need. Clark was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and traveling to Gatlinburg and various other destinations over the years. He also enjoyed woodworking and landscape projects, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was inspiration to his family in so many ways including his selfless love for family and others and his faithful walk with Jesus. The Celebration of Life Service for Clark will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Pastor Vint Norris officiating. Burial will follow at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday November 11, 2022 at 11:00 am until the start of service. Pallbearers will be Phillip Gurganus, Taylor Gurganus, Kyle Williams, Doug Harwell, Reede Mendenhall, and Ken Fuller. Honorary pallbearers will include William Jarrell, Don Morgan and the members of William Jarrell's Sunday School Class at First Baptist Tillman's Corner. The family would like to express our special thanks and appreciation to the caregivers Rebecca Hurt and Tina Thompson for their dedication and service. We also extend our sincere gratitude to all of the Saad Healthcare and Hospice Staff.
