Robert Brooks (Wilkinson, Jr) Wilkinson, Jr

Robert Brooks Wilkinson went to be with the Lord on November 14th. He was 87 years old. Robert was an Air Force veteran and served during the Korean war. He was a certified CAD operator at Ingalls Shipbuilding until he retired in 2004. During his lifetime he was a volunteer firefighter, a volunteer lifeguard, a school teacher, and an ordained minister. He had special place in his heart for ministering to children. He served on the boards of Child Evangelism Fellowship ministry in Mobile and in New Orleans. He enjoyed developing presentations that he and others used for teaching Bible lessons. Other hobbies were reading, putting puzzles together, and watching Alabama football games. He was preceded in death by his son, John Brooks Wilkinson; parents, Robert Brooks Wilkinson, Sr, Catharine Ballard Wilkinson; sisters Catharine Wilkinson Thomas and Shirley Wilkinson Bishop; nephew Bobby Thomas. He is survived by his wife Carol O'Gwynn Wilkinson; daughter Mara Kay Wilkinson (Marvin) Taylor; grandson Christopher Allen Marshall; brother Walter Joseph (Inga) Wilkinson; nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Greystone Bible Church Good New Club.
