Skip Grizzle, 64, of Mobile Alabama, passed away on November 29, 2022 from a long fight with cancer. An avid outdoorsman, he was always at his happy place either in a boat with a fishing rod in hand or a rifle in a tree stand, enjoying the beauty that God surrounded him with. When he wasn’t outside, he loved spending time with his grandkids and taking family trips to Walt Disney World. Music was a huge part of his life ever since he was a teenager. Over the last 40 years, you could find him on most Sunday mornings in the orchestra pit of many different churches in the Mobile area, including Cottage Hill Baptist, Luke 4:18, and First Baptist of Tillmans Corner with either a bass or a guitar in hand. Many weddings and events throughout the years also enjoyed the music of the Solid Rock Orchestra, which he started. He was one of the branch managers of Blake and Pendleton, which he had been with since he graduated high school. Skip was preceded in death by his father, William David Grizzle, his mother, Bernice Shell Grizzle, his sister Sally Grizzle Wilson, and brother Steven Shell Grizzle Sr. He is survived by brothers Jerry and his wife Elizabeth Grizzle and Darin and his wife Penny Grizzle, sister Kitty Rose Grizzle, Sister in Law Becky Grizzle, wife Linda Grube Grizzle, children Sean Grizzle and Chrystal Griffis Grizzle, Blake Grizzle, and Lindsay and Greg Davis and grandchildren Grayson, Benjamin, Madison, and Jensen along with many nieces and nephews.
