Franck Allen Shelby September 2, 1943 – November 30, 2022 “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116.15 Franck Allen Shelby, a native and longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, and current resident of Fairhope, Alabama, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Franck was a member of Dauphin Way Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Murphy High School and Jones College. Franck served in the United States Army (1st Air Calvary Division) from 1966-1969. During his service to our country, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and Sharp Shooter (Rifle) Award. Franck served as a Deputy U.S. Marshal from 1970 until his retirement in 2000. Franck was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph T. Shelby and Mary Grace Allen Shelby and his half-brothers, Mardis, Dwight, and Joseph Shelby. Franck is survived by his wife of 49 years, Glenda Fay Blankenship Shelby, their two sons, the Rev. Franck Stuart Shelby (Crissy) and John Benjamin Shelby, and their five grandchildren, Lucy, Grace, Sam, Mac, and Jane Ellen. He loved us all unconditionally, and with great affection.

Services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 with visitation at 1:00 pm and service to follow at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow immediately in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
