Faye McCaleb of Mobile, AL, passed away Monday, March 6, at Providence Hospital. She was born in 1927 in Fayette, AL, the daughter of Alma Rose and Hollie Banks Tucker, sister to brothers Bursey, Grady, Gene, Kenneth, and Wilburn, and sisters Irene and Betty Ann. She married W.C. McCaleb in 1942 and, after living in Fayette and Tuscaloosa, settled in Mobile. She was a cherished member of University Church of Christ for decades and will be remembered by her family and many, many friends in the community as a source of great love and much joy. Faye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Linda McCaleb; granddaughter Aimee McCaleb Fitzgibbons and her husband, Jim Fitzgibbons; grandson Chris McCaleb and his wife, Ami Franklin; and great-grandchildren Hugh, Henry, and Eliza Fitzgibbons. She is preceded in death by her husband, W.C.; her son, Hugh McCaleb; and her sisters and brothers.

Services will be Thursday, March 9, at University Church of Christ at 5651 Zeigler Blvd. in Mobile, starting with a visitation at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. Faye's final resting place will be Mobile Memorial Gardens.
