Janice graduated from Frisco City High in 1949 where she was a cheerleader. After high school she moved to Mobile and met the love of her life while working at the American Legion. She worked at the Mobile Supply Company from 1959 – 1999 when she retired after 40 years. The last 23 years at Mobile Supply Company. She worked part-time at Springhill Memorial Hospital part time from 1976 till 1999 then went full time retiring in 2017 after 41 years. She was a charter member of Azalea Christian Church and Azalea Hill Christian Church, and then later returning to the Methodist Church by joining ,Christ United Methodist Church. Janice was a member of the BFF- Breast Friends Forever, a Breast Cancer Support Group started by her daughter, all the ladies call her Mom.
Mrs. Findley was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Lamar Findley, Sr.; granddaughter, Emily Katherine Findley; her parents, Howell Ward Thames and Daisy Selina Majors Thames; brothers and sister-in-laws, Clifford Harold (Virgie) Thames and Soloman Elwood (Emily) Thames.
Surviving are her loving and devoted children, Andrew L. (Elizabeth) Findley, Jr., Howell M. (Mary) Findley, Darlene F. (Tim) Chavers and bonus son Robert (Ha) Kenyon; grandchildren, Christopher T. (Sarah) Kitsos, III., Joseph W (Rachel) Kitsos, Sarah F. (Adam)Pendergrass, Andrew L.. Findley, III., Ellen E. Findley, H. Madison (Caroline) Findley, II., Emma T. Findley; bonus grandchildren, Jennifer (Jacob) Kenyon – Forsyth and Megan Kenyon; great grandchildren, Harper G. Kitsos and Mia E. Pendergrass; special niece, Louse Parker who was always with her. Also, survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Findley will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Radney Funeral Home – Mobile, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. and again on Monday, March 27, 2023 from noon to service time. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Alabama.
