Charles Henry Johnson of Mobile, Alabama passed away at the age of 65 on April 15, 2023, surround by his family and friends. Henry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was a Delta State graduate, an avid hunter, a beast on the softball field, a pit master, loved Mardi Gras and was a very compassionate friend and mentor to those who worked for him. He was a dear friend to anyone who had the pleasure to know him. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many. Henry is survived by his wife, Julie Johnson, who he cherished and loved dearly, his children, Michael Johnson (Jennifer) of Louise, Ms, Stuart Johnson of Dallas, Tx, Kristie Cooper (Troy) and Richard Brown (Carmen) of Mobile, Al, his sister, Claudia Andrews of Mobile, Al, his brother Kenneth Johnson of Mobile, Al, his grandchildren, Savannah and Jake Johnson of Louise, Ms., Taylor "Lucy" Cooper, Zackary Cooper, Alex Brown and Bradley Brown all of Mobile, Al, Mother in law, Mary McKeough of Mobile, Al. and his life long best friend, Jeff Arnold (Donna) of Mobile, Al. Along with other family and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his father, Charles Vincent Johnson, his mother, Emily "Boots" Johnson and father in law, Walter P. McKeough. The Pallbearers will be, Paul Ott, Bo Bosarge, Sammy Massingill, Richard Welch, Johnny Garris, Patrick McKeough, Andrew McKeough, and Cleave Wittner.
September 23, 1957 ~ April 15, 2023 (age 65)
Visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Road, Mobile, AL beginning at 9:30 with services following in the Chapel beginning at 11:00. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

  1. I am gonna miss my big brother ("Bubba"), I already do. I'm sure everyone that knew him will too. Always proud of my brother.

  2. I am so thankful that I was able to spend a few minutes with you a few months ago to tell you how much I appreciate you helping my boy when he needed a job. He thought so much of you! You were definitely one of a kind and will be missed by many my friend!
