Mobile, Alabama - Fred Arthur Livermore, Jr., age 75, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2023, in Mobile, Alabama. He was born on January 1, 1948, in Alpena, Michigan.
Fred had a fulfilling career as a welder at Taylor-Wharton where he dedicated himself to his work until his retirement. He took great pride in his craftsmanship and was highly respected by his colleagues for his skills and work ethic.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Fred served in the United States Navy, where he demonstrated bravery and commitment to his country. His military service exemplified his patriotism and courage.
Outside of work and serving the nation, Fred had a profound love for gardening. He would spend hours tending to his flowers, cultivating beautiful blooms that brought joy to those who saw them. His green thumb was admired by all who knew him. Likewise, he found solace in fishing, enjoying the peacefulness of nature and the thrill of reeling in a catch.
Fred will always be remembered for his warm heart and kind demeanor. He had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a vibrant personality that drew people towards him. He cherished time spent with family and friends and made every gathering memorable with his witty sense of humor.
Fred leaves behind a sister Vivian Rhodes (Dusty), sister-in-law Nancy Livermore and numerous cousins including Susan Criswell Baker, Dale Beck, Patrick Catarack as well as other friends and extended family members. While Fred's physical presence may no longer be with us, his memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Fred is preceded in death by his loving wife Frances Livermore, with whom he shared many beautiful years. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Leon and Warren.
Fred Arthur Livermore, Jr. will be dearly missed and his legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his remarkable presence.

Visitation will be held in honor of Fred on July 7, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, located at 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, Alabama, 36619. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Martindale officiating. Burial will take place at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery immediately following the service.
