Paul Jeffrey Fleming, Sr., 81 of Jackson, AL passed away on August 5, 2023. Paul was born to William Francis Fleming and Eva O'Connell Fleming on June 24, 1942 in Lowell, MA.
Paul proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 until 1965, with three years being spent serving in Japan. He met Norma Foster in 1961 and, after returning from his military service in Japan, the two were wed in 1965.
Paul was a successful businessman who worked in banking for many years. His hard work and dedication earned him the position of President of People's Bank in Red Level, AL. Outside of work, Paul was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. Paul especially loved fishing with his grandchildren.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Norma Fleming; son, Jeff Fleming (Kasey); daughter, Candace Vacik (Stephen); grandchildren, PJ Fleming III, William Jackson Fleming, Walter Paul Vacik (Sarah), Michael Christopher Vacik; and great-grandchild, Annalie Rose Vacik.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Francis Fleming and Eva Olivia O'Connell.

To honor the memory of Paul, his family will receive friends on Friday August 11, 2023 at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service.
