Miriam LaVoy Langley, 89, of Mobile passed away on September 6, 2023 at her daughter's home in Fairhope, AL while surrounded by her loving family.
Miriam was born on November 15, 1933 in Netwon, Mississippi to Vernon and Ludie Nichols. After high school, she married Billy Joe Langley and they shared 68 wonderful years of marriage together while raising their three children, Joey, Debbie, and Rusty. Miriam and Billy Joe loved to golf together. It was an activity they enjoyed well into their golden years until they were unable to play. They also were avid card players. Miriam could be found attending her Bunco group or even her gardening club. She loved to travel with her family and was a long-time member of Springhill Baptist Church. She served as a bookkeeper for many years until her retirement.
Miriam's memory will be cherished by the family members she leaves behind. She is survived by her children, Joey (Janet) Langley, Debbie (Ray) Evans, Rusty (Cindy) Langley; grandchildren, Jay (Lindsay) Langley, Shannon (Richard) Davis, Mitchell (Laura) Harris, Sandy Harris, Clint (Ashley) Smith, Sara Langley; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, one brother, Roy (AB) Nichols and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Miriam is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Billy Joe Langley and her granddaughter Jessica Harris.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at 10:00 am with visitation beginning one hour prior.
