Joseph Salata, known affectionately as Joe, passed away on September 6, 2023, in Mobile, AL.
He was born on August 25, 1986, in Mobile, AL. Joe attended Murphy High School and received his education there. Joe was a dedicated tax preparer who worked alongside his grandfather during tax season for many years. Throughout his life, he displayed a big heart and always put others before himself. He had a kind and selfless personality that endeared him to all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Leia Grace Salata, and his fiancee, Katie Davidson. He is also survived by his parents, Kelly and Tim Lane; his brothers, Justin (Jenely) Lane and Jonathan (Emily) Salata; and his grandparents Joseph A. and Marie Salata.
In addition to his immediate family, Joe leaves behind a loving network of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Eunice Laired; his grandparents Lloyd and Alice Lane; his aunts Jody Salata and Christina Salata Chaudron; and cousin Zachary Rosson. He is survived by a favorite aunt Sherrie Rosson as well as future in-laws Mickey and Sara Davidson.
Joe's life will be celebrated at the Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home located at 6040 Three Notch Road in Mobile, AL. The services will be held on September 11, 2023. The visitation is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM with an end time of 12:00 PM. The funeral service which will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Joe will always be remembered for his compassion, dedication to others, and the impact he made on the lives of those around him. His legacy of kindness will continue to inspire and resonate with everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
