Julia Neller Blankenship Furbershaw, a native of Mobile, Alabama, passed away on September 11, 2023. She was born on June 18, 1946. She was loved by those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents Parish Cameron Blankenship and Millicent Edna Whitney Blankenship, husband James Newton Furbershaw, brother, Franklin Mortimer “Butch” Blake, and special friend Virgil Carroll.
Nella is survived by her daughters, Patti (Chane) Orr, Mary “Charlie” (Jeffery) Weaver, and Julie Furbershaw; grandchildren, Kasey N. (Krystofer) Thompson, Nicholas C. (Angel) Furbershaw, Tiffani W. (Garrett) Kudlack, Haleigh A. Weaver, and Aiden Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Furbershaw will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with Bob Barr officiating. Burial will follow the service in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to noon at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
