O'Leta Fields left this world to see the beauty of Heaven on October 2, 2023. O'Leta loved her friends and family and not only is she now with her Father, Jesus Christ, but is also reunited with her parents, James Austin and Ida Irene, and her siblings, James Lewis, Gerald Landreth, and Betty Jean. She is survived by her brother Johnnie Frank as well as her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Even though she will be missed by her friends and family members she so loved and left behind, they know that she is happy to be with Jesus.
O'Leta was extremely involved in her church and gave much of her life to the Lord. She was the secretary for the Riverside Baptist Church for over 50 years. She also loved reading the Bible and singing in the choir with her church family. In her other time, she enjoyed visiting yard sales with her friends in search of unique treasures, such as the porcelain dolls she collected. O'Leta also had an adoration for the flowers her God decorated the Earth with and had a special place in her heart for the roses after which she was named.
Though O'Leta did not have children of her own, she always showered her many nieces and nephews with love and affection. Her friends and family were extremely important to her. In her busy life she always found time to spend with her friends and family, taking them to the movies, the mall, and other fun places. Even though she is gone, her loved ones will forever treasure the memories and time they shared with O'Leta Fields.
