Mary Elizabeth Martin, 96, passed away on December 22, 2023. Mary was born On June 16, 1927 to Leo and Ludie (Hughes) Templin. Mary graduated from Murphy High School.
Mary was very personable. So much so, that at one point in her 30's, she found she could be an Avon lady for a short time. Mary was never without a dog (or 2) in the home. She enjoyed fishing and crabbing, gardening, and crafts. She could talk to the wee hours of the morning when visiting with relatives and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edward P Martin, Sr.; son, Edward P. Martin, Jr.; parents, Leo and Ludie Templin; brother, Rev. Robert Leo Templin; sisters, Vivian Templin Morris, and Peggy Templin Bartlett.
Mary is survived by her son, Richard Martin; daughter, Marianne Martin; granddaughter, Amy Martin Royse (Robert); grandson, David Martin (Amber); granddaughter, Hayley Martin Gaskill (Johnny); great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Christopher, Jr., Macy, Mila, Jayden, and Elija.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held on Thursday December 28, 2023, at 10:00 am at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
