Jo Carol Baygents, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a loving mother to Kelley Clark (Duane) and a proud grandmother to Gracie Lee Clark and Emory Elizabeth Clark. Jo's life was one of faith, family, and enduring friendships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Ruth Lee and Harvey Marlin Lee; her sister, Ann Lee McDonnell; and granddaughter, Avery Hope Clark. Jo's devotion to her family was demonstrated as she lovingly cared for her mother for many years, exemplifying her deep sense of selflessness for those she loved.
Jo also found joy in the camaraderie of friends, notably within her treasured "Wacky Women" and "Sixties Chicks" friend groups. Her friendships were a testament to her vibrant spirit, and the memories of shared laughter will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call her a friend.
Jo had a special affection for the delicate beauty of pansies. The flower's name means thought or remembrance. Those who knew Jo will fondly remember her each time they see a pansy.

A celebration of life will take place at Chickasaw Methodist Church. The service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
