Mrs. Bobbie Rae McCardle – Born December 5, 1932 in Leakesville, MS, passed away February 2, 2024 at home in Silverhill, AL. Mrs. McCardle was a 1951 graduate of Leakesville High School where she was very active with the 4H Club. She started working at Woolworth, and later worked as a secretary at United Mine Workers. She worked for Dr. L.E. Irby Veterinary Clinic for over 40 years, and later worked for Irby Overton Veterinary Clinic. She joined Moffett Road Baptist Church in 1950 where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry McCardle, Sr.; and her son, Charles Henry McCardle, Jr. She is survived by her son, Stephen R. “Randy” McCardle (Tammie Frazier); her daughter, Stephanie McCardle Gremillion (Henry J. Cruppi, Jr.); grandson, Jonathan C. McCardle (Kathryn Hubbard); nephew, Joey Pellegrine, II.; niece, Marie Douglas Arnold; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Radney's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.

I am so sorry I cannot be with you today, due to some medical tests that have long been scheduled. My thouhts and prayers are with all of you.
Mrs. McCardle was one of my favorites at MRBC. She was a walker, walked that track around the gym just about every day, as long as she could. I would go every other day for a while, then quit. She put me to shame walking. I miss her smile on Sunday mornings.
