Mary C. Thompson - 91 years old, stepped into Eternity on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. She was born to Parker and Ella Greer Thompson on July 18, 1932. Shew was a devoted wife and a very caring mother of her four children. In her earlier years, she was a committed worker/leader for the First Baptist Church of Chickasaw nursery. Her last place of employment was with America's Best, a fundraising company in Mobile, Alabama. She was married to Melvin E. Cochran for 47 years. Together, they loved fishing, and camping. During her later years, her most enjoyable thing to do was working out in her yard. She truly loved the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Parker Thompson and Ella Greer Thompson; husband, Melvin E. Cochran; husband, Clifford Allday; and daughter, Charlene Cochran. Ms. Thompson is survived by her daughters, Sharon Brackett and Peggy Jordan; son, Leon Cochran (Lynn); grandchildren, Shannon Norfleet (Scottie), Caleb Cochran (Kayla), Alex Brackett (Nicole), Mark Miller, Jessica Williams (Clint), Hope Miller, and Lydia Blackwell (Heath; great-grandchildren, Tori, Aaron, Jayden, Liam, Jackson, Brielle, Grace, Bodie, Eli, and Ezri; other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Cook officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
