Sandra "Sandy" Kay Solomon, 76 of Mobile, AL passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 7:25pm.
Sandra was born on July 18, 1947 in Bay St Louis, MS, however, she lived out most of her life in Mobile, AL since childhood. After Sandy graduated from Davidson high-school in 1965, she went on to become an orthodontist assistant for Dr. Goodloe & Salter.
In 1968, Sandy met the love of her life John Thomas Solomon. They married three months later and lived a beautiful life of 54 years.
Sandra fought a long battle these past five months, but the heartbreak she has endured since losing the love of her life in Nov 2022, ultimately took her home. I know he greeted her with open arms and she is where she wants to be. No matter how much we tried, no one could fill the void in her heart.
Sandra is preceded in death by her loving husband "Tommy" Solomon, her mother, Vernice deLlacer, her father, Amaro deLlacer, and two half brothers, Amaro Miguel deLlacer and William "Hollywood" deLlacer.
Sandra is survived by a very special nephew, Amaro (Amy/Taylor) deLlacer; a half sister, Pat McKeown; three brothers, Andre (Sarah) deLlacer, Rene (Kathy) deLlacer, and Darryl (Dawn) deLlacer; three sisters, Lisa (Steve) Blount, Sonya (George) Stricklin, and Kimberly (Richard) Heubach. Sandra has many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends who loved her very much.
Pallbearers will be Amaro deLlacer, Kyle deLlacer, Erik Massengale, Chris Smith, Richard Heubach, Tim Ready, Joey Holsombach and Phillip Rettig. Words can't describe how much we will all miss her.
