Charlene Alsup Tarwater, 87 years of age and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, with loving family present.
Charlene was born in Druid City Hospital in Tuscaloosa, AL on January 15, 1937. Charlene came to Mobile as a child with her family and attended St. Mary's Catholic School. She later married and was a stay-at-home mother to her children.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, loved music, singing, the beach, doing arts and crafts, and her favorite past time was thrift store shopping.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles B. Alsup and Carrie R. Alsup, her sister Juanita Nored, her twin sister Marlene Finley, and daughter Vickie L. Jowers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Tonja Dolan, Barry Yonker, Dylan Yonker, Kimberly Eubanks, Tracy Cotton, and Dory Yonker. Her grandchildren: Troy Robinson, David Dolan, Shondelle Thompson, Heath Dawson, Mellisa Tew, Michael Tew, Dana Dodge, Tony Jowers Jr., Cameron Jowers, James "TJ" Jacobs, Ashley Jacobs, Austin Eubanks, Justin Yonker, Brandon Cotton, and William Cotton; 30 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Charlene will forever be loved, missed, and remembered as "THE SWEETEST THING."
