Iva Fay (Lolley) Lewis McDonald, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 8, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Charles "Charlie" Samuel Lewis, her parents Edward and Rilla Wingo Lolley, her sister Nelda Jo Riels, and her brother Edward "Sonny" Lolley.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by her husband Richard Larry McDonald, her daughter Connie McCaskill (Ron), her son Mark Lewis (Susan), and her sisters Charlotte Mullinix and Phyllis Lewis. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Matthew (Rachel) McLean, Holly (Chad) Pratt, Brad (Christine) Lewis, Melissa (Matt) Sievering, ten great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and adored.
Fay was born in Empire, AL, and moved to Mobile with her parents as a child, where she was a long-time resident. Fay gave over 30 years of service to the USPS. She had a passion for cooking wonderful meals for her family and friends. Fay loved spending time around the water and outdoors. She spent many years on Dog River, first in her houseboat the "Summer Day" and later in her river home. She had a special gift for growing and propagating plants, and she loved to share them with her friends and family. Her flower beds rivaled those of Bellingrath Gardens. She was also a skilled seamstress, among many other talents.

Visitation will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 1-2 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
