Jacqueline Lavelle Hamilton Turner, age 74, a native of Mobile, AL, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Jacqueline attended Alabama School for the Deaf, graduating in 1970. While there, she received the Outstanding Scholastic Attainment, Character and Leadership Award. She was a retired employee of the Mobile Public Library. Jacqueline enjoyed the simplest pleasures in life. She was devoted to her husband and cherished time with her family. Jacqueline was a devout Christian and read her Bible daily. She spent time journaling family stories and scrapbooking. She was talented with needlework and loved to sew and crochet items for her family. She was always working on a project.
Jacqueline is preceded in death by her parents John Horace Hamilton Jr. and Carmen Lavelle Tanner Hamilton, her brother John Hamilton III and sister-in-law Dean (William) Hamilton. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, David Allen Turner. She is also survived by her siblings William Hamilton, Donald Hamilton (Reina), Patricia Hamilton, Virginia Mims (Scott), Merry Cox (Terry) and a host of doting nieces and nephews. Her family will miss her dearly.

Private family services will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on May 4, 2024. Interment to follow in Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
