Jerry Stevens Fulford, 80, a resident of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at The Retreat Hospice at Saad. He was born June 7, 1943 to Stevens and Lucille Fulford of Mobile.
Jerry was a graduate of Theodore High School and earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Mississippi with a degree in Math and Physics. He spent his early career as an engineer for The Boeing Company in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1968 he married his beloved wife, Pat. In 1969 he returned to live in Mobile and became a Mechanical Engineer for the United States Navy at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi until his retirement as Supervisory Naval Architect in 2007. He enjoyed his work and approached every problem like a puzzle to solve, ensuring the safety and function of our naval ships.
Jerry enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, fishing, playing golf, and photography in his spare time. He was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Jerry stayed busy as a member and Past Potentate of Abba Shriners, past Worshipful Master of Azalea Masonic Lodge #898 F & AM, active member of Scottish Rite, York Rite, and past president of the Dixie Convention. Jerry loved his time and fellowship as a Mason and his work as a Shriner in support of Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Preceded in death by his parents Stevens and Lucille Fulford, he is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years Pat Fulford, daughter Denise Dunham, son-in-law Phillip Dunham, grandsons Gavin, Tanner, and Calvin Dunham, sister Sandee Balles, as well as nieces, Stephanie Odom and Laura Dugan. Jerry lived his life serving and giving to others through his work with Shriners so the family request in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children c/o Abba Shrine Center, 7701 Hitt Rd, Mobile, AL 36695 or to a charity of preference.

Funeral services will beld Saturday, June 1, 2024 from St. John's Episcopal Church at 10am. The family will receive friends from 9am until service time Saturday at the church.
